Diamonds: April's Best Friend

April is here and this month’s traditional birthstone is the Diamond! 

Historically, diamonds have been thought to provide the wearer with better relationships and an increase in inner strength and courage. It is also believed to bring benefits such as balance, clarity, and abundance. 

Of course, as we all know, diamonds are symbolic of eternal love (a.k.a traditional engagement rings) and as we also know, diamonds are one of the strongest materials on earth making it an eternal piece. 

Many believe that birthstone traditions date back to the Bible; although the “modern” birthstone list was created in 1912 by an organization known as “Jewelers of America”. Traditionally, it is believed that Aaron the Priest wore a special Holy plate with 12 stones as a good luck charm and the plate was rotated according to the month to take advantage of that month’s stone’s benefit. 

How true this is, we may never know but what we do know is that diamonds are April’s best friend.
