Exchanges and Returns Policy (In Store and Online)

Except for sale, promotional, or estate jewelry, Jay’s Fine Jewelry will issue a store credit or exchange, for any jewelry purchased, if returned within 30 days of the sale. The returned merchandise must be in original purchased condition, and in the original gift box with all warranty cards and instruction books intact. No cash or credit card refunds. All Estate Jewelry, promotional, or discounted items are final sales, and are not returnable. For Online purchases, the 30-day clock starts at date of delivery arrival. The proof of delivery will be a signature with the driver. 

Special Orders and Custom Work (In Store Only)

All special orders and custom design work require a 50% non-refundable deposit and are non-cancellable or exchangeable. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote client’s complete satisfaction and complete understanding that the product they receive is nonreturnable. 

Watch Repair Guarantee (In Store Only)

Estimates are free of charge. All watch overhauls are guaranteed for 6 months except for Rolex watches which will guaranteed for 1 year. There is no guarantee for moisture, bands, crystals, or minor repairs. Replacement of watch batteries does not guarantee function or water resistance. 

Jewelry Repair (In Store Only)

Jay’s Fine Jewelry including its employees, accept no responsibility for condition, identification of Jewelry, or stones upon its receiving. Occasionally there is damage that is not visible until work has begun: such as chipped stone under prong. We will promptly notify you if something like this is discovered. Many store treatments, such as, but not limited to, fracture filling, laser drilling, and other clarity or color enhancements. You will be contacted before work begins regarding any changes or additional charges. Completed repairs will be held for no longer than 180 days from completion/contract date, after which items will be sold to recover repair costs. Unless preauthorized by store manager for a longer period. 

Free Cleaning (In Store Only)

We will clean your jewelry (ultrasonic and steam) and check the setting free of charge. We recommend this be done every 3 months. Not responsible for loss of stones due to worn prongs and settings during the free cleaning. 

Layaway Policy (In Store Only)

We welcome layaway’s for up to 3 months with a 50% down payment. Monthly payments are required. In the absence of monthly payments, the layaway will become cancelled. Cancelled layaway payments are non-refundable and will convert to store credit with a 10% restocking fee deducted.

Insurance Appraisals (In Store Only)

The values provided are an estimate of the current market price at which the appraised jeweler may be purchased in retail jewelry stores and do not necessarily reflect the price at the which the appraised or similar may be purchased at this store. Because jewelry appraisal and evaluation is not a pure science and is therefore subjective, estimates or replacements of replacement value may vary from one appraiser to another and such a variance does not necessarily constitute error on the part of the appraiser. This appraisal should not be used as the basis for the purchase off sale of the items set forth herein and is provided solely as an estimate of approximate replacement values of items at this time and place. 

Estate Appraisals (In Store Only)

The values provided are an estimate of the current fair market value of the items in their present condition and do not represent the replacement value of similar merchandise. The term “fair market value” as used is defined as “the approximate amount that one may anticipate receiving in a transaction between a willing buyer and a willing seller, time not being of the essence, for the specific item(s) at this time. Estate appraisals do not constitute an offer to buy.
